Kirsty graduated from the University of Johannesburg with an LLB in 2014, she then graduated the following year from the University of Cape Town with an LLM specialising in dispute resolution.

Kirsty started her articles of clerkship in 2016 at a Cape Town based Law firm and was admitted as an attorney in February 2018. Kirsty continued with the same firm as a junior associate in the Conveyancing and Estates departments and was admitted as a Conveyancer in September 2019.

In April 2020, Kirsty founded Günther Attorneys and partnered with Nevashni Moodley to found Günther Attorneys in April 2023.
